I would just like to say that Melanie Turpin, my baby sister, sent me the most delicious-tasting cupcakes I've ever had the pleasure of being sent on my birthday. She makes brilliant cupcakes, you know. Thanks, Jellybean. It took a whole lot of will power to keep myself from having the entire plate for breakfast. Plus, Emma wouldn't have been happy if Daddy didn't share.
And speaking of whom, she's decided that my pink crown ought to go with a nice pink paper cape and sceptre too. More glitter? Of course. I'm just all sparkles today.
Also? My wife, Elinor has awesome taste in music, and knows exactly what I like. I completely lucked out here, folks. My kid brother, Sam, is a brilliant artist who drew the Hogwarts lake with the castle in the background. And it's bringing back a whole load of memories. That is going up in the living room.

Emma brought her artistic side out again today. There was glitter all over the table by the end of it, but I am now "King Daddy" and I own a pink and yellow paper crown.
